If you’re thinking about spending the holidays somewhere special where the whole family can enjoy themselves there is simply no better place than Palm Beach.
Sun? Check.
Some of the most beautiful beaches in the continental United States? Double-check!
Palm Beach is quintessential Florida: palm trees along just about every road and people in shorts and flip flops with smiles on their faces.
As one of the top destinations of Grand Carribean Cruises, you can completely find activities with us to include a variety of spots to make sure your family trip will create memories that will last a lifetime.
For both adults and kids — and of course, grandma and grandpa — Palm Beach offers a variety of holiday activities and events that every family member can enjoy!
You can choose from traditional holiday things to do like float parades, pictures with Santa, ice skating, the lighting of giant Christmas trees but there are a bunch of special holiday activities in the Palm Beach area that will make this family trip one for the books.

We’ve gathered a few highlights of special holiday things to do in the area:
Palm Beach has its very own Christmas tree named Sandi and she’s made of — you guessed it: 600 tons of sand! This Florida favorite stands 35 feet tall and can be seen on November 30th at 7 p.m. at Waterfront. The family can take pictures and kick off the holiday season beach style.
Feeling active? Why not get the whole family to dress up in their holiday gear together to ride bikes along the beach? This event takes place on November 29th from 6 to 9 p.m. and is called the Santa Parade on Bikes. The event is hosted by the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority and the whole family can participate.
Boat Parades!
Holiday parade in true Florida style. There’s seating available in several locations on shore (no, you don’t have to be on a boat) so your family can enjoy the light-filled spectacle floating by.
The Palm Beach area hosts 2 of these: the 46th Annual Holiday Boat Parade in Boynton Beach on December 8th at 6 pm. and the 41st Annual Holiday Boat Parade in Boca Raton on December 16th at 6:30 p.m.
Another boat-related activity where this time the whole family can come aboard is the Cookie Cruise With Santa. You can choose from several dates: December 2, 9, 16, 19, 20, and 21st to make a reservation to come aboard the Lady Atlantic and cruise down the Intracoastal Waterway.
The Palm Beach Post hosts a free holiday show at the Waterfront Commons on December 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. and features everything Polynesian! This all-age event showcases music and dance from Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, and Samoa.
Christmas with the Chimps!
Christmas is not just for us humans so on December 20th at 10:30 a.m., at the famous Lion Country Safari, the family can watch Santa Claus give wrapped presents to the chimps. Guests are able to get out of their cars and watch this 30-year tradition on Chimps Island.
How about a musical or play the whole family can enjoy?
In Palm Beach, there are many shows to choose from. Will & Anthony, Disney Newsies The Musical, Christmas Cabaret, and Motown Christmas to name a few — are hosted at the Crest Theatre in Delray Beach and the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter.
Those are just a few of the many events that will make your holiday family vacation in Palm Beach memorable. The area is famous for great weather all year round, premium shopping, and pristine beaches. You and your family will make the most of your holidays here!
